About the Workshop:

This 2-hour presentation focuses on an introduction to sex therapy from a CBT model, brief review of assessment measures often used in sex therapy, identification of diversity concerns when assessing and treating sexual functioning concerns, and reviews clinical interventions for sexual health and functioning conditions. 


Learning Objectives:

At the end of this pre-recorded workshop, attendees will be able to:
1) 
List the diagnostic criteria of Sexual Dysfunctions according to the DSM-5
2) Identify skills and techniques to integrate sexual health questions into a standard intake
3) Describe diversity concerns often impacting sexual health and functioning
4) Explain how to provide sexual psychoeducation to patients using a CBT model


Audience:

This presentation is intended for psychologists, other licensed mental health providers, and graduate students of psychology.


About the Speaker:

Jordan Soper, Psy.D. is a Licensed Psychologist, AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, and Owner of The Center for Sexual Health and Wellness in Las Vegas, NV. Dr. Soper’s areas of expertise include evidence-based treatment for sexual health and functioning disorders, anxiety, and trauma with diverse populations including military/Veterans, first responders, police officers, members of the LGBTQ+ community, young professionals, students, therapists, sexual assault survivors, and members of the BDSM/Kink/Fetish community. NPA maintains responsibility for the program and its content. NPA will issue certificates of completion. APA CE rules require that we only issue credits to those who watch the entire pre-recorded presentation and complete an online posttest which will be scored. A passing grade is required to receive CE credit.
