    About this Workshop:

This workshop is based on Dr. Waldman’s nearly 40 years of highly successful private practice in Phoenix, AZ and his many years of research and speaking about private practice development. His fourth book, The Graduate Course You Never Had, is dedicated to this topic. Psychologists are highly trained in providing psychotherapy but most psychologists are poorly equipped to conduct the business of offering therapeutic services. In this seminar, Dr. Waldman teaches necessary business concepts, mandatory practice management policies, and creative and ethical marketing strategies. Participants will be introduced to emerging technologies, such as online marketing.

One cannot help the client they don’t see. Through this workshop psychologists will benefit their community and their profession by informing their community of the many services psychologists provide. The following topics will be addressed: Private Practice as a Business; Valuing Our Time; Your Financial Blueprint; Effectively Getting Started; Necessary Practice Management Concepts; Managing Managed Care; Proven Effective and Efficient Marketing Techniques; How to Become the Expert; Non-Traditional Ways to Earn Income; Developing Passive Income; and Online Marketing.

    Learning Objectives:

At the end of this workshops, participants will be able to:
1.) List characteristics of an optimal business and how they relate to private practice.
2.) Describe how to value your service.
    3) State basic components of any successful business and how to ensure you are devoting the correct amount of time to each area.
    4) Demonstrate at least one effective new marketing strategy to attract new clients.
    5) Use at least one effective new method to become known as “The Expert”.
    6) Implement at least one effective new concept to earn additional income.
