Upcoming CE Webinar:
Patient-Centered Opioid De-prescribing in Low-Resource Care Settings
Aram Mardian, MD & Beth Darnall, PhD
Wednesday, May 27, 11:00am–2:00 pm PT

As part of our partnership with the National Register of Health Service Psychologists, we are pleased to
offer Nevada Psychological Association members and affiliates discounted access to the upcoming
webinar “Patient-Centered Opioid De-prescribing in Low-Resource Care Settings“.

Opiates are widely prescribed to manage chronic pain and associated medical conditions, and some
patients are at risk for development of dependence and/or misuse of pain-suppressing medications. In
this three hour CE presentation, Drs. Beth Darnall and Aram Mardian will discuss management of
prescribed opiates in medically ill populations. They will cover optimum prescription strategies and
tapering concepts. Drs. Darnall and Mardian will engage in a live question and answer session at the end
of the presentation.

Visit https://bit.ly/2Z2F6GR to register.

     • The discounted cost for NPA members and affiliates is $60.
• Select the “State Psychological Association Member or Affiliate” webinar ticket type and enter
NPA10 when checking out.

Participants will earn 1 CE credit for attending this session. Participants must attend the entire, one-hour
presentation and complete the evaluation at the end of the webinar to be eligible for CE credit.
